First of all, literally things have heated up again. Thank goodness! After about three weeks, finally I went to hot yoga again. I have wanted to go again for a long time but for some reason I always decided to sleep in on those days. So, it has been a while but I really enjoyed today's class. Aside from knocking over my water bottle and spilling water all over the floor while doing the eagle pose, it was a great class. Now I want to keep it up again so I don't waste another couple of weeks of not going to class.
I am just about to finalize our (Heron and Gorilla sitting in a tree...) trip to the West Coast. I think we are both extremely excited and can't wait to get a break from it all, sniffing the brisk ocean air and sleeping in white, crisp hotel sheets.
This upcoming year I have to take a film class called 'Gender, Sexuality and Race in Diasporic Film' in order to make up for a conflict that I had with another theory class. Even though I don't have any gender and sexuality background, especially in terms of theory, I am starting to get really excited about it and I can't wait to have class discussions that will enhance my knowledge on the topic.
Recently I have been having debates with a friend of mine from Switzerland regarding gender and sexuality. Ever since I started having discussions about my, at the time, new-found interest in Buddhist philosophies, Red Panda has gotten hooked on it itself. It continues to go to dharma classes in Switzerland, whereas I stopped about two years ago. Due to its surrounding influences, it takes a lot of that knowledge and applies it to our discussions, and to be honest, it has made them rather interesting. I now have a lot of questions about the topics of gender and sexuality and I can't wait to bring forth some of those ideas and questions in class.
To put closure to this post, other than these 'hot' topics and of course John McCain's idiotic comment about opposing adoption rights for gay and lesbian couples, there is not much else to write at this point.
So this is it for today, and Johnny, as you may know, a lot of public figures have been caught in public bathrooms and in bed with other men behind their wives' backs while trying their hardest to oppose anything and everything to do with queer issues. It's a given, and it's a trend; internal homophobia doesn't just take place in the minds of 'regular' people.

Story Bit #3
Finally the older lady found what she has been looking for so desperately. As Markus watches the incident with the older gentleman the lady places a plastic rain hat on her recently-permed hair and starts tying it around her neck. Markus has almost had enough. He an sense the people's uneasiness as the bus continues to stop at every bus stop. It's pouring outside and everyone is soaked. He reaches for his tie and begins to pull on it, to loosen it a bit. He is sweating still and his heart rate is almost critical. The thug passes the lady next and sits down behind Markus. The door closes and the driver starts accelerating again. Markus reaches for the yellow wire which hangs right next to his head and pulls it continuously. People around him notice the hastiness of his action and look at him. Even more uncomfortable now, Markus briefly looks at the woman, excuses himself and gets up while holding his briefcase close to his chest with both hands. Trying to get out from his seat, his legs knock against the woman's knees who is stunned at the young man's surprising burst of energy. He apologizes to everyone he passes and bumps against as he quickly attempts to reach the back door. Finally the bus stops and Markus reaches for the door handle with his right hand. The rain greets his face as soon as he steps out of the bus and in no time his entire suit is soaked as the bus takes off. He can see the people staring at him and the old woman shaking her head. There he is, standing on the side of the street in the pouring rain. His head hanging low, he watches the street, while hugging his briefcase. The crackling sound of lightning just above him makes him flinch.
